Wooten hurt, walk-on QB firing hard
Some practice news from a cooler, but still hot Saturday afternoon in Athens.
- WR Rontavious Wooten has some sort of left knee injury. He was wearing a brace on the knee, and was in a green jersey, sitting out practice and biking next to Akeem Dent. We'll update Wooten's status after practice, when we speak to Mark Richt.
- Offensive lineman Tanner Strickland (shoulder) was back in full contact mode, after wearing a green jersey this week. Senior cornerback Chad Gloer (hamstring) was still in green.
- I can't remember seeing this before: A pass by walk-on QB Greg Bingham literally knocked the helmet off WR Israel Troupe. That drew a few laughs. Troupe apparently didn't have his helmet strapped up when he went out to take the pass. We'll ask Bingham later what kind of mustard he put on it.
More from Richt, et al, in an hour or so.
