Morant update
Dexter Morant, who left the Georgia football team after Tuesday's practice, could end up closer to home, at South Carolina State.
A source said Morant is seriously considering the transfer to S.C. State, a Division II school located about 45 miles from Morant's hometown of Manning.
Morant, a 6-foot-7 defensive end, is by all accounts a Division I talent. But he apparently would like to be closer to home. The situation remains murky, and perhaps Georgia coach Mark Richt will be able to shed some light after practice.
