Fourth quarter blog

5:00 left in game, Georgia cruising

Given the status of this game, I'm about to head down to the locker room. I'll blog some quotes and notes upon my return.

Bottom line, this is just what Georgia needed. Don't worry about Tennessee not being that good. The Bulldogs should have routed the Vols, and they did. It gives them a huge confidence boost going forward, and probably calms the fire-Mark Richt talk. At least for a week or two.

It should also serve as a reminder that Georgia has a very bright future at quarterback as long as Aaron Murray keeps progressing, and stays healthy.

Very, very good win for Georgia.

We're pretty much in garbage time here, as Georgia leads comfortably. Both teams still have most of their first-teamers in there, but that should change soon.

Georgia's Justin Houston has 1.5 sacks today, and might be leading the SEC by the end of the day. He teamed with Kiante Tripp on one, the team's fourth of the day.

Aaron Murray will be the story of the game for Georgia, as he remains the Bulldogs' leading rusher, and is approaching 300 passing yards.

I also expect to hear a lot after the game about Georgia's physical practices, and what A.D. Greg McGarity called "the juice" in the program this week. He's proving to be right.

Seth, please. You've mentioned multiple times throughout the day that "Tennessee isn't very good... but good win for Georgia regardless."

We all know that Tenn isn't very good, but they did almost beat a pretty good LSU team last week, and they stayed in it with Florida. You could mention that, and the fact that Georgia dominated them from the start compared to their other opponents, including #3 Oregon (who struggled early with UT).

Your comments on the quality of our opponent aren't really necessary. Especially repeatedly.

Completely disagree. I agree with Seth, Tennessee is awful and they showed it today. True, they did show some fire against Oregon and LSU, but okay? That doesn't change the fact that they are terrible. Yes, it was a good win for us, but I'm only happy about the win...not beating Tennessee all that much.

David If that is your real name, then that is amazing.

But yeah, Tennessee sucks, but still, I don't see why it needed to be mentioned repeatedly on the blog. We get it.

Glad to see we got the run game going a bit at the end. We'll need both King and Ealy firing on all cylinders if we want to beat UF and Auburn. Murray continues to increase his stud status every week. Oh, and I'm glad we've got Green back and better than ever.
