-- In what is just about the worst kept secret in college hoops right now, the Tuscaloosa News reports that former Alabama interim head coach Phillip Pearson is a leading candidate to join Mark Fox's staff at Georgia.

-- Mark Weiszer notes the impact the broadcast of this weekend's G-Day game could have on recruiting and, if you read to the end, has a note on a minor skirmish between two offensive linemen.
