Boling gets Senior Bowl invite

Georgia offensive lineman Clint Boling has received an invitation to play in next month's Senior Bowl, according to a source.

Boling rotated between left tackle and right guard this season, and entered the season regarded as one of the Bulldogs' top senior prospects. The invitation is another sign of that.

The Senior Bowl isn't done issuing invitations, so other draftable players, such as linebacker Akeem Dent and fullback Shaun Chapas, could eventually be selected. There is no set roster amount, but generally they try to keep it about 100. (The teams are divided into North and South.)

The game, played in Mobile, Ala., takes place on Jan. 29, at 4 p.m., and is broadcast on the NFL Network. Last year Georgia's Geno Atkins and Jeff Owens played in the game, and both are now on NFL rosters.

I have been thinking of the pros and cons to an NFL lockout lately.

The pros for us would be Houston and Green could possibly stay. Also any other underclassmen that are on the fence about leaving would for sure stay. That would be huge of course and I would prefer this to the cons.

The cons could possibly mean more. If there is no lockout Cam Newton, and Ryan Mallett more than likely leave. We could have the best QB in the SEC as early as the beginning of next year if they leave. Remember Greg Mcelroy, and Mike Hartline are graduating so Stephen Garcia will be the only QB to rival Murray next year. Also there are other players from teams we do play or could play in an SEC championship that could leave early if there is no lockout.

So what's everyones opinion on this? I would prefer for all our players to stay and there be no lockout and other top SEC underclassmen leave. That's not likely but I also think we should control our own destiny and should not base how good we will be off which players are still on the teams we play.

Any opinions on this?

"I think we'll take care of the east and have one flukey loss to a west team: Auburn or Arkansas."

This is why I would prefer the DISNEYdawgs.com posters to this blog, would put their names on their posts - so that you can be held DIRECTLY RESPONSIBLE for what you wrote.

BullDawg what the he'll are you talking about? Are you bringing stuff from other Dawg sites here so you can say negative crap everywhere?

I just saw that Oregon will be the favorite against Auburn in the BCS Champioship game. Complete bs! Oregon has beaten one team that is currently ranked! Auburn plays in the SEC. Won the SEC! Went undefeated in the SEC! Beat countless teams that are currently ranked.

I don't get it. I understand these idiots on espn saying stupid things but the guys in Vegas normally get it right.

Uh oh BuLLDawg wants us to all to come up with fake names so we can be held responsible. Okay- just call me - BuLLdawg is a joke- how's that cause I'm really scared to be anonymous now.

I often find myself wondering how these politicians get elected then along comes someone like Bulldawg and everything becomes clear.

I puke when I see "BuLLdawg said..." said...

BuLLdawg - Did you just copy and paste a comment from July 12? And then go and use that as your argument as to why people should identify themselves prior to posting? Really?

And you plan on holding Kathleen DIRECTLY RESPONSIBLE for a PREDICTION how?

I think UGA goes 13-0 in 2011, wins the national championship, and then goes and demolishes the Pats in the Super Bowl! Come hold me DIRECTLY RESPONSIBLE in a year! Dumbass.
