Injured Rambo expected to miss rest of spring
While one safety spot remains one of the top competitions this spring, the other one may be vacant the rest of the spring too.
Bacarri Rambo suffered a right MCL knee sprain this week in practice, according to UGA, and isn't likely to return over the final two weeks.
Rambo started all 13 games last year, finishing with 82 tackles, second on the team. That also makes him the team's leading returning tackler. Rambo, a rising junior, also had three interceptions.
Jakar Hamilton and Shawn Williams are competing to start alongside Rambo, after Alec Ogletree was shifted to inside linebacker. The staff had been cross-training the pair at both spots, although Hamilton has played more at free safety and Williams at strong, with Rambo playing the other spot.
Now Hamilton and Williams will get the vast majority of the first-team reps the rest of the spring, with redshirt freshman Mark Deas also in the mix.

I'm going to hope that this is a blessing in disguise in that the other guys get more PT. We knew Rambo was starting next year. Maybe Shawn and Jakar "The Shoulder Block" Hamilton will get better with experience.
Looks like Seth's blog is down to 1 or 2 comments now per article.
I guess shutting down the comments on fans so many times backfired.
Without Ogletree back there, I'm very unimpressed with our Safeties. Rambo is the best we've got and he was a mediocre player and made a lot of mental errors last season...now he's hurt. We'll find out soon enough whether or not Lakatos has been able to coach them up.
Dont worry Folks its Boo Boo's play calling and the offensive line thats the big problem.
If he shuts down comments again, will you go away too?
Hope the young man gets better as soon as possible.
