A quick blog personnel note

Mr. Blog Man is headed to the DL.

But hopefully only for a short amount of time.

After braving it for a few days, I've finally been sat down by the doctors, who have diagnosed me with strep throat. So I will be unable to attend spring practice interviews the next few days; and because it physically hurts to speak, I'll also be unable to do much work via phone.

In the meantime, whatever work I'm able to perform from my deathbed keyboard I will still post. And in the event of a miraculous recovery, I'll be out there by the weekend asking my usual array of tough, hard-hitting questions. ("Claude, where's the coffee?")

I'll be fine. See you soon.

You're really taking time off to play with your fantasy baseball, aren't you?

Make sure you take every single antibiotic...no matter how crappy they make you feel.

I had strep once, only took 3/4 of my meds after I started feeling better, and then recovered. A month later, it came back even worse.

Oh, and chicken soup.

We should get someone in Butts-Mehre to send over a green jersey for Seth.

You and Dawgs 247.com do a great job covering the team. With Seth on the DL for a while, y'all should check out dawgs247.com at least for their free posts; Fletcher Page and Gentry Estes do good work like Seth.

Get better soon man, you'll be back to slayin' hood rats soon enough!

Bummer... I had the strep throat 3 weeks ago. It was as bad as watching my Dawgs losing the bowl game to Mickey Mouse U. Get Well Soon!

Seth,

Don't know your book preferences, but if you want something to pass the time while you are down with the sickness, check out "Fall of Giants" by Ken Follet. It's a historical fiction piece set in Europe/America before, during and after WWI. It's a substantial book, but not a hard read. I pushed aside school work for the past couple of days after I hit page 200 or so to finish it.

Enjoy the rest of your Opening Day 2011.

Maybe you can practice your Grantham post game voice. Or for that matter, mid-game voice.

What's with all this wimpy attitude with anything associated with UGA these days? First we lose to UCF because our team isn't man enough, now that attitude has creeped into our beat writers too? Take some friggin Advil, and drink a warm glass of honey and apple cider vinegar, and you'll be good to go. Enough of this "I don't feel good" crap.

Just kidding. I hope you get well soon, Seth. Just make sure you hand this virus off to your worst enemies before you get rid of it.

At least it's not a computer virus.

Wow, you're really lucky! People rarely get Strep after the age of 15 or so. You should go buy a lottery ticket! - strike that, stay home, I'll buy a ticket and tell you if you win anything...

Get well, man. Hunker Down.

I will be canceling my subscription to this site. We pay good money to get to notch commentary on Georgia Sports goings on. You could at least pay someone out of your massive monthly website revenue stream to pick up your slack for a few days. Come on Seth, we are not idiots here and expect more out of you.

Oh, wait, someone just told me this is free… My bad.

Thanks everyone for the kind wishes. I'm gurgling a lot of salt water, and popping antibiotics, trying to make sure I'm back out there soon.

Hope you have somebody bringing you some chicken soup. Just don't give strep to anybody else, even the dog or cat. That stuff is bad. Feel better.
