Video Blog: Belin Talks Fundamentals
Two things on this video:
1.) Warren Belin is a guy who knows the difference between using what my mom would call "his inside voice" and "his outside voice."
2.) I'm going to go out on a limb and guess this will be hands down your favorite video of the spring.
So, if your boss doesn't like you watching football videos at work, tell him you think he's just being soft.
And for the record, No. 37 is Akeem Hebron.
*Video courtesy of the great Brandon Spoon, who if he's not the next Steven Spielberg, he's certainly as good as his Mexican equivalent.
(*"Non-union" Mexican equivalent... can't believe I screwed up the quote!)

Awesome. Gets me pumped.
It is official. I want to have Coach Belin's baby. Guess the baby will have to gestate in a box (Life of Brian reference)
Anon @ 11:29 I'm with you. LOL
Do college coaches have groupies?
You are correct, sir: favorite video of the spring thus far-- by far.
I really can't express the joy I feel watching this new attitude amongst our defensive coaches--the "we will be fundamentally sound, we will play smart, and therefore we will win championships..." seems to be light-years away from Martinez's constant '...need to execute...' pendantry.
I don't expect a championship next year, but I believe that- with these coaches- it's possible.
Like the new staff. Obviously, it's always easy to fall in the love with the new guys and be overly critical of the last staff, but I will say it seems we've gone from a coaching staff that was bouyed up by the talent they brought in, to a staff that has made names for themselves by doing more with less. I realize the spring blinders are on, but that's one of the great things about being a fan.
I didn't realize Belin was that type of hard ass coach. GREAT STUFF. Can't wait to see this defense develop into a fundamentally sound and tough D.
Oh you soft, you soft, god your soft!!!! Haha.
I can't watch this at work, but reading all these comments make me want to quit my job so I can go home RIGHT NOW!
PS. My verification word is "chundex"... that sounds like a rating system for how much something makes you want to throw up. Tebow's jorts score a 9 on the chundex system.
Ive got a great idea for a tshirt for the team. It simply states " Dont be SOFF!"
If he couldn't even coach his way out of a paper bag... Warren Belin at the least has the personality and charisma to light a fire under some of these guys. But something tells me he's got a good idea of what he wants to do with these guys, and how he's going to get them there.
From a fan standpoint... he gives me goosebumps. When he says "we're gonna be the best in the SEC at linebacker, I promise you that..." you can tell he says it with conviction, and not just for drama.
Forget player jerseys, they should start selling coach jerseys this year!
I had honestly forgotten that Hebron was still on the team. Wasn't he one of those all-galaxy guys coming out of high school?
