Geathers Picks Dawgs
High school All-American Kwame Geathers added another big name to Georgia's 2009 signing class Friday, albeit a little later than head coach Mark Richt is used to.
Geathers, a 6-foot-6, 320-pound lineman from Georgetown, S.C., announced Friday -- more than a week after national signing day -- that he was headed to Georgia, spurning offers from Tennessee and Central Florida.
"We're very excited about Kwame becoming a Georgia Bulldog," Richt said in a statement released by the school. "He's a fantastic player and a very, very good young man. We can't wait to get him in Athens and in position to help us win and continue to strive for championships."
Geathers is the brother of former Georgia defensive end Robert Geathers, who currently plays for the NFL's Cincinnati Bengals.
Kwame Geathers played at Carvers Bay High School where he was named a prep All-American and was rated as a three star recruit by Rivals.com. As a senior, he recorded 130 tackles and seven sacks.

just curious.....you write some columns for Scout but you post Rivals' rankings. Maybe you just "pasted" another report. Not so clear how the world of journalism works??
Well, I don't technically work for Scout. They pay to run some of my stuff (well, they pay my company, not me, sadly) but I don't actually have a subscription to their site, so I didn't have access to their rankings... make sense? Yeah, I didn't think so.
