Dooley to Visit Perry on Friday

From Press Release...

University of Georgia legendary Coach Vince Dooley will be the featured guest of the 2008 Mistletoe Market at the GA National Fairgrounds in Perry on Friday, November 21.

Coach Dooley just released two new books (in addition to three popular ones) and will be selling/autographing the books at the market from 12 noon-5:00 pm. "Dooley's Playbook: The 34 Most Memorable Plays in Georgia Football History" is just off the press. The plays are highlighted with a narrative written by Dooley, a diagram of the play and a painting of the play in action. Macon native Steve Penley, an acclaimed artist and UGA grad, collaborated with Dooley to do the original paintings in the book. "Hairy Dawg's Journey through the Peach State" is Dooley's newest book for children, ages 8 and under. Hairy Dawg visits Helen, Stone Mountain, the Georgia Aquarium, the Music Hall of Fame and many other popular sights across the state. Books may be purchased via cash or check only.

Mistletoe Market will be held Friday, Saturday and Sunday, November 21, 22 & 23 at the Georgia National Fairgrounds in Perry. The event is sponsored by the Balvaunuca Club of Perry, a women's service league, and all proceeds go to local charities. More than 90 shoppes and vendors will be on hand. Coach Dooley will be the event's guest on Friday only. Additional information about the event is at www.mistletoemarketperry.com_

Dooley's most recent book tour stopped in Douglas, St. Simons, Kingsland, St. Marys, Baxley, Jacksonville Beach and Jacksonville where large crowds greeted him and purchased his books.
