Richt Hosts All Pro Dad Event

With Father's Day coming up, this might be of particular interest to Georgia fans (from UGA Athletics)...

The All Pro Dad Father & Kids Experience is coming to the University of Georgia on Saturday, June 20. Dads and kids will take to the Bulldogs’ football practice fields for football-themed games and special activities promoting father and child bonding. The event, scheduled from 9 a.m. until 12 noon on the Bulldog practice fields, is hosted by UGA head football coach Mark Richt, Chick-fil-A founder and CEO Truett Cathy, and 40 University of Georgia football players.

The All Pro Dad Father & Kids Experience is the football-themed event of All Pro Dad (www.AllProDad.com), the fatherhood program of Family First, a national non-profit organization based in Tampa, FL. Launched with the help of former Indianapolis Colts head coach Tony Dungy in 1997, All Pro Dad features 55 NFL players, coaches, and alumni who speak out on the importance of being a good father. In March, Dungy came to Athens and announced that the national fatherhood program, which had been mainly focusing on the NFL, was expanding to the college ranks with the University of Georgia being the first to sponsor the program.

The event’s title sponsor is Chick-fil-A. Comcast Charter Sports Southeast and WCNN 680 The Fan are media partners for the event. For advance registration information visit www.AllProDad.com. The event is recommended for ages five and older. Registration is $15 per family which includes admission for one dad and up to four children.
