Georgia's game next week against undefeated Vandy won't be the 3:30 CBS game, the network announced Wednesday. No decision on the kickoff time will be made until Sunday now.
From UGA athletics:
"CBS has selected the Alabama-Ole Miss game for its 3:30 p.m. game on Oct. 18. CBS has allowed ESPN to use one of CBS's three six-day selection options for the Oct. 18 game. The games being held in the six-day selection process for ESPN and Raycom are Vanderbilt at Georgia and LSU at South Carolina. ESPN will select one of these two games for an 8 p.m. kickoff with the other game being televised by Raycom at 12:30 p.m."
Georgia Sports Blog breaks down the potential ramifications of either time slot. For deadline purposes, I'm hoping for the early game, but the late kickoff would certainly be better for fan support and national coverage.
