Joe Cox Update

Here's the official comment from UGA... I'm about to get on a plane so I'll let you know more when I get to Oklahoma.

Georgia quarterback Joe Cox experienced flu-like symptoms Thursday and did not practice. However, he has improved today and is expected to join theteam in Stillwater tonight.

Thanks for all you do. You're writing is great and it's great to know that us fans back home have someone on the scene that we can get quick and most important accurate info from. It won't be long before you're getting paid more money and way to busy with other assignments to cover the dawgs we love in such detail.
Go Dawgs!

Special request next road game, when rattling off the names of freshmen who may travel, please refer to Rantavious Wooten as Rantavious "Da Ball Carrier" Wooten. I would love to hear Coach Richt respond with "He may go. He may go." You know the simple pleasures always amuse.

Any more word on Joe? Dang. Of all the times in your life to get the flu. If he plays, how effective can we expect him to be? I've had the flu before and was worthless about day three. I wouldn't be surprised if we got a token appearance from Joe, and then a steady dose of Logan. Maybe even a series from Murray if Logan is not producing.

If they're letting Joe travel, they must be certain that he doesn't actually have the flu, because there's no way they'd risk him infecting the rest of the team.

That being said, whatever he had, I would rather have Logan Grey in at 100% rather than Joe at 80%.

Thanks David for your great reports. Wish there were more reporters that share your passion. With the temps being mild and Cox feeling better I think a few IVs of fluid will do wonders. Adversity is part of this game and the dawgs certainly know how to deal with it. GO DAWGS!
Any word on the special teams line up. Word is Faloughi is on the kick off team but couldn't find anything on it. What a great kid and hope he stuffs a few returns!

Agree with the other comments...this blog is the only one I read every day (several times a day). It is very informative and wildly entertaining. You are the Bill Simmons of Georgia Football.
