Parting Shots

A note from a (shockingly) anonymous commenter yesterday:

"Monday's Loose Ends... You used the word 'I' ten times in 5 paragraphs...........egocentric much?"

But what could possibly be more interesting than me?

Well, either way, I don't want to come off as egocentric, so today, I'm letting someone else do the dirty work. Our pal Bernie held a formal exit interview with me, so if you'd care to read my departing words with him, you can find the interview on his blog.

Be back with one final post tomorrow as SEC Media Days kicks off without me. (*Sigh*)

There... I used I already 13 times now in this one response. I (14) think that may be enough for anonymous prick to go after me instead of you today. I (15) will miss your stuff. Thanks DH.

Last year, somebody had a great idea for a Bud Light 'Real Men of Genius' commercial. "Here's to you, Mr. Anonymous Sports Blog Douchebag Poster Guy".

Folks always take cheap shots at the folks who are doing good.

Enjoy Philly.

We talk about your work how your boss is a jerk
We talk about your church and your head when it hurts
We talk about the troubles you've been having with your brother
About your daddy and your mother and your crazy ex-lover
We talk about your friends and the places that you've been
We talk about your skin and the dimples on your chin
The polish on your toes and the run in your hose
And God knows we're gonna talk about your clothes
You know talkin' 'bout you makes me smile
But every once in awhile

I wanna talk about me
Wanna talk about I
Wanna talk about number one
Old my me my
What I think, what I like, what I know, what I want, what I see
How I like talking about you you you you usually, but occassionally
I wanna talk about me

I wanna talk about me

Congrats on the new gig. With guys like Bob Ford to compete against, you should have a long and illustrious career up there writing about the Phillies.

Good luck with the excitement of baseball. There will be no end to Fun with Numbers. And of course, the anonymous Philly fans will probably be MUCH nicer:)

Lets send anonymous poster to Philly and we keep David Hale!!!

Mr. Hale you will be greatly missed in UGA land (not quite as much as Kate in her tight fitting, skimpy island clothes) but missed none the less.

David,

Don't take this the wrong way... it's a compliment.

The first blog I followed was Dave O'Brien. He quickly built up a fanbase with his wit, personality, and respect for his readers.

You've captured a topic even more important... and by that I mean Lost. And surrounded it by some of the best subjective/objective blogging about college football on the internet.

Someday you'll get the wit, personality, and respect parts down.

Seriously though, I wish you the best of success in Delaware. May your blog hits and comment counts put O'Brien to shame.

And the Phillies lose again last nite . . . meanwhile Georgia picks up its first 5 star commit in basketball in 7 years.

David, I speak for Dawg fans everywhere when I say we have loved your reporting, enjoyed your columns and looked forward to your links, but your move really is for the best for all parties involved. We appreciate the sacrifice you're willing to make for UGA sports.

At least we'll always have Shreveport.
