The guy isn't dumb or blind, after all, and he'd have to recognize the Title IX implications if nothing else.<br /><br />Given that fact, I'm inclined to view Spurrier's 'suggestion' as nothing more than a recruiting ploy-- at best, a "see how much I care for my kids?" and at worst a veiled implication that SC athletes might experience some hundred-dollar-handshakes.<br /><br />To be honest, I'm surprised that Spurrier even dared mention it: in the height of the OSU scandal, of all possible statements, that seems like something that might just catch the eye of the NCAA.<br /><br />I'll stick with Richt and his statement. (Which is another reason we shouldn't get rid of him just for a couple of bad seasons, by the by.)
