They aren't being mean... this is just the thing generally said about the relatively slow, lanky white guy. What else can they say about him after all?

The guy has had drops (or at least, failures to bring down reasonably catchable passes) in several games now over the past few seasons. That despite his not having the ball thrown his way that often.

He's not a horrible WR... but he and his hands are nothing special. Doesn't make him a bad dude or whatever... just makes all this "he catches everything" stuff eye-rollingly lame at this point.Mikehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14268606514509258115noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6162716793249150680.post-49213917628889274032008-09-16T00:47:00.000-04:002008-09-16T00:47:00.000-04:00One step ahead of Spurrier? I hope Coach Willie learns from that debacle. It could have cost us the game!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6162716793249150680.post-63353518889928114182008-09-15T16:39:00.000-04:002008-09-15T16:39:00.000-04:00Just wanted to say that finding your blog has real...Just wanted to say that finding your blog has really helped the work-day go by much faster. Liked the recap, really thought Martinez won us that game, he was one step ahead of Spurrier the whole day which we know is not an easy feat. I still think we are playing pretty close to the vest on offense and saving some big plays for the next few weeks. The fact that Stafford is still pick free is amazing and i think it proves how conservative some of the plays have been.DCDawghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05849109007250376991noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6162716793249150680.post-6044334604620664762008-09-15T16:19:00.000-04:002008-09-15T16:19:00.000-04:00You know, I was sort of thinking that perhaps thos...You know, I was sort of thinking that perhaps those sentiments were overrated, because it doesn't show up on the field as much, but EVERY player seems to agree he has the best hands of the receivers. Perhaps his bigger problem is translating practice skills to game skills, and that's really more of a mental thing than a physical thing.David Halehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02872368286061273646noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6162716793249150680.post-36029910314144213362008-09-15T15:38:00.000-04:002008-09-15T15:38:00.000-04:00Good write up, Hale, but can we please get rid of ...Good write up, Hale, but can we please get rid of this Durham "great hands" stuff? For the number of times the guy has had passes thrown his way, he certainly has had a good number of drops... or at least no special ability to bring down tougher catches... and he also had a fumble in the Sugar Bowl.

The guy's hands are nothing special. He's just white so that's what people say about him. Time for this to go.Mikehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14268606514509258115noreply@blogger.com
